A Pirate Thursday

Hi!  I am almost caught up on all the sleep I missed out on last night - which is why my post is coming so late today.  I had an awesome day yesterday :)  I went to the Pittsburgh Pirates game last night with my dad, Aunt, and Uncle - this is a result of when my dad and I went to a game in August and we each won a pair of tickets at the prize wheel.  I will fill you in on the road trip/game in a few - but, I must first update you on my daily progress - I will try to do all in as few words as possible, because I have a lot of pictures!

Thursday Morning

I did not workout - my legs were still feeling the Wednesday night barre workout, so it was better to take a rest day.  I had my usual Healthy Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Oatmeal, of course.

Lunch - Burger Fresh

California Burger with no bun
Black bean burger sitting on a bed of mixed greens, with red pepper salsa, avocado, and jalapeños for an extra kick

I also made a Starbucks stop during work - I did not get myself a drink, too bad I don't like coffee though because I did manage to leave with three free drinks!  (They are training)  I did get myself some snacks from Starbucks recent launch of Evolution Harvest snacks - naturally delicious and nutritious.  I picked one of each flavor.
Evolution Harvest snack bars: Pepita Almond Raisin Cranberry, Almond Cocoa, and Roasted Soybean Pepita Almond.  Evolution Harvest freeze-dried fruit snacks: Mango Pineapple Kiwi, Mandarin Orange Strawberry Cantaloupe, and Strawberry Blueberry

Snack - Starbucks Evolution Harvest Bar

I gave the Almond Cocoa a try while my dad pumped gas
I wanted something chocolatey - this bar was delicious with a hint of cocoa.  It was a light snack and I felt good eating it.  A much better road trip snack than your average gas station picks - so far, I am impressed :)

We arrived to Rivers Casino (free parking) with quite some time to spare, so we decided to venture around the river walk.  We were able to enjoy Heinz Field before the rain came.

Just so Goodell knows...this is what Pittsburghers think of your clear bag rule - what a smart man

Dinner - Just4U (healthy and gluten-free options)

Tomato and Watermelon Salad with olive oil and basil - What a delicious and refreshing salad - I will be making this soon and will probably add some feta cheese :)
Veggie Toaster - Grilled portobello with grilled peppers, onions, and squash.  This sandwich was so tasty and there was a nice drizzle of olive oil to compliment the grilled-to-perfection veggies :) I felt like I should've been at a restaurant - I am very impressed with the food selection at PNC Park.

My dad had a gluten-free hot dog and gluten-free nachos and loved it!
My Aunt Joyce ordered the same thing I did - healthy choices run in the family ;)

Around PNC Park - Home of the Pittsburgh Pirates

We met a Pirate at the game - my dad likes taking pictures, so I humor him ;)

The beautiful Pittsburgh skyline - this ballpark has an amazing view

The top of the Gulf Tower is lit up with a black and gold sequence when the Pirates win (and a black and gold pattern for every home run)

I had an awesome night with my dad, Aunt, and Uncle - it helped that we witnessed such a great game!  The night was full of laughs, great food, and awesome entertainment - which, made the two hour ride out to Pittsburgh and the three hour ride home (my dad drove), worth it ;)

Now, it's the weekend!  I am still tired, so I will tell you about Friday at the end of the weekend :) I have so much going on this weekend and cannot wait to share everything!

Have a wonderful weekend!
